Carissa is a career Foreign Service Officer with the U.S. Department of State, with experience throughout the Middle East, Latin America, and Washington. She has served in Qatar, Yemen, Uruguay, Oman, Jordan, and the Department of State’s Bureau for European Affairs. Carissa holds a Master’s in Public Policy and a B.A. in Public and International Affairs from Princeton University, worked previously as a business strategy consultant, and speaks Arabic and Spanish. While a Fellow with the Center for International Security Studies she researched disinformation, online polarization, and national security policy.
